About me: Sarah Wainwright
I love taking photographs and making prints. I also love plants (especially edible ones). I can often be found with a foraging basket in one hand and a ridiculously heavy camera in the other. I'm lucky enough to have an allotment, which is rapidly turning into a forest garden...
I'm currently employed as a photographic technician (and sometimes teacher) at a college. I regularly exhibit and sell my work. I enjoy the craft of printmaking, especially using traditional photographic techniques and processes (eg photogram, cyanotype). I've recently begun to investigate more environmentally friendly "natural printmaking" methods too. These usually take longer and the results fade more quickly... but it's the process itself that holds my interest. Click here to view my techniques and processes on Flickr...
Sometimes I work on art projects and sometimes I just document what I'm having for dinner. It all counts :)
I'll happily take on freelance work if it fits in with my interests - contact me (skycarrots@gmail.com) for more info.
