Crab Apples




Today I collected crab apples. What shall I do with them?

    Okay so must be more than jelly. Possibly marmalade (originally made from quinces apparently). Hmm see http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2006/oct/21/recipes.foodanddrink which mentions combining them with such things as rosehips and haws :D
    Was thinking you could probably make a particularly undrinkable cider and the only alcohol reference is schnapps which is practically cleaner.

  2. I'm not sure if it's possible to make cider without a press...
    I think I might try that recipe actually, thanks for the link. I've never done the whole *drip drip drip* through a jelly bag thing :)
