Well perhaps not strictly scrumping, because I think that means stealing from other people's trees. But I do like the word, and if I had a cider press I'd certainly be making scrumpy!

when we find that big bit of land we can both build our eco houses on, we'll invest in a shared cider press ;) i've been wanting to try my hand at cider making for years. this year we turned the apples into apple sauce and a really good apple based curry sauce. the freezer is so full now! we still have loads of mirabels too, which i can't decide what to do with. i love making jam, but we hardly eat any!
